It was a school holiday in winter. Snow dropped heavily the night before, but that morning the sky was clear. There was no sign of danger. Truely, it was a perfect morning to ski.Metro was functioning as usual.
As soon as it stopped, people rushed to get in. The stairs was overcrowded. But no one ever expected the accident will happen. A cruel one.Three person was on top of each other. The ski board pierced the top and middle person, right through their pelvis and abdomen, respectively.
The middle one hit his head, and started to loss his consciousness. Hematoma was formed in his skull. Two people being on top of her, the girl at the bottom was having shock and edema, signs of crush syndrome. There was no way to remove them, as little movement would cause a major hemorrhage to the top person.
The ski board cut through his major blood vessel, preventing it from bleeding. Blocking the aorta was impossible, as he was facing downward. It was a race against time, and leaving them longer would bring harm to all of them.
Cruel decision was made; lift the top and cut the ski board connecting him to the middle person. As soon as the ski board was cut, proper life-saving measure was taken, but it was useless. The top person died from massive hemorrhage. Ambulance priority was given to the middle and bottom person, as their chances of living was higher. A cruel decision, but it was necessary to save lives.
Choosing the best decision is not about right or wrong. It's always about necessary or not.Sacrifice, or be sacrificed. Being in the top means someone will be in the bottom. Being alive means someone will be dead.
Being the best means someone will be the worst. That's how life works. That's why everyone is precious in their own way. A person's medicine may be someone else's poison. As long as it is towards a better future, always be proud of whatever decision you made. Our future is not here, but it's in the hereafter.
